Ask,instead of searching.
This website has more than a hundred pages. Nobody reads them all. That is why fabAI is permanently on screen: you ask in your own words, it answers in its own words – and puts the pages it relies on next to the answer.
- Answers in conversation, with sources
- Says so when it cannot back something up
- Passes your question to the team if you want
Three things, no more
fabAI on this website is deliberately kept narrow. It is a guide through our content, not a salesperson and not a consultant.
Understanding the question
You write in your own words, not in keywords. Whether you ask about 'batch traceability', 'traceability' or 'how do I know where a batch went', you end up in the same place.
Answering and citing
You get a formulated answer, not a list of hits – and below it the pages the answer comes from. So you can read it up rather than trust it. Follow-up questions in the same conversation are possible, and the thread is kept.
Handing over where needed
If it finds nothing solid, it says so and asks whether it may pass the question to our team. It only goes out after your yes, and with your email address.
From question to answer
- Step 01
You ask
Through the button on the right-hand edge, on every page. If you do not know what to ask, there are a handful of common questions at the top to tap.
- Step 02
fabAI looks for the basis
It searches the content of this website – pages, industry solutions, articles – and selects the sections that match the question. The language model receives those sections as context.
- Step 03
The model formulates
The answer is written from that context – in full sentences, tailored to your question. It appears while being written, not only at the end. The sources are listed below it.
- Step 04
Or an honest refusal
If nothing matches, nothing is invented. It then offers to pass the question on, and you get an answer from a person.
What fabAI deliberately does not do here
An assistant on a company website can do a lot of damage if it promises too much. That is why it is kept on a short lead here.
- It does not quote prices for your project – that depends on scope, modules and effort, and belongs in a conversation
- It does not confirm that a particular system can be connected before we have checked it
- It does not invent figures or customer examples
- It does not access your data – it only knows what is publicly on this website anyway
- It does not store your conversation; only a question you explicitly forward reaches us
- It has no memory beyond your visit – next time the conversation starts again
Your data
The question and the sections found for it go to the language model, which runs on our own infrastructure. The conversation is not stored. Only when you explicitly agree to forwarding do the question and your email address go to our sales team.
Not to be confused
fabAI is also the name of the AI in the product. There it works on your real ERP data, with permissions and logging. Here on the website it is the same name for a much smaller job: questions about our content.
Grows with us
Forwarded questions show us what is missing on the website. What is asked often becomes a section – and is answered directly the next time.
About fabAI on this website
Is this a chatbot?
Yes, but one on a short lead. Classic chatbots either work with prepared dialogue paths or let a language model formulate freely – and then something appears quickly that sounds good and is not true. Before every answer, fabAI is given the matching sections of this website as its basis and may draw only on those. The sources are listed under the answer so that you can check.
Why does it sometimes not answer?
Because there is nothing on the website that supports an answer to the question. That is not a fault but the built-in intent: better no answer than an invented one. In that case it offers to pass the question to our team. It also stays deliberately reticent on prices – those depend on scope and belong in a conversation.
What happens to a forwarded question?
It goes as an email to our sales team, together with your email address, optionally your name and the page you asked from. We usually reply within one working day. In future the enquiry will arrive directly as a case in fabular instead of taking the detour through a mailbox.
Is this the same AI as in the ERP?
It is the same name but a different use. In the product, fabAI works on your real data – with user permissions, logging and access through the MCP server. On this website, fabAI knows public content only and has no connection whatsoever to a customer system.
Can I ask in English?
You can, but the English content of this website is currently considerably thinner than the German. fabAI therefore finds substantially more in German. For English-language enquiries, the direct route through the contact form is usually faster.
Some questions belong in a conversation
fabAI is good at getting you to the right place. Whether fabular fits your processes is still best clarified in an exchange with a person.
