How is fabular different from SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or Odoo?
fabular is built for mid-sized companies in the DACH region, not for the global market – for production and retail as much as for wholesale, e-commerce, service providers and control bodies. What processes you need is decided by the industry solution, not by the base system. In practice that means industry logic such as batch tracing, recipes or organic certification is standard rather than an add-on, implementation takes months instead of years, and you talk to the same people who build the software. On top of that, fabAI is the only ERP-integrated AI in the DACH region that can run entirely on your own hardware.
What does fabular cost?
Pricing depends on the industry solution, the number of users and the modules you need – a flat rate would be too expensive for one company and unrealistic for another. In the free initial conversation we produce a reliable estimate including implementation effort, so you have a figure before you decide.
Does fabAI really work without the cloud?
Yes. The language model is embedded in fabular and runs on your hardware with no external connection. There are no per-request API costs and no third party seeing your queries. If you prefer cloud models, fabAI can run hybrid – with a clear separation between locally and externally processed data.
Can we keep our existing systems?
Usually yes. fabular ships with more than 100 ready-made integrations, including DATEV, BMD, SAP, Shopify, DHL, DPD, Post, Office 365 and FinanzOnline. Anything else runs through the open REST API. A migration path analysis is part of every consulting conversation – including the question of which legacy systems are genuinely worth keeping.
How long does an implementation take?
Four to twelve months, depending on company size and industry solution. We work with a proven migration method and parallel operation so your daily business does not stall during the switch.
What happens when our processes change?
The usual route is configuration, not programming: your IT administrators adjust workflows, fields, reports and permissions themselves – no developer ticket, no waiting time. We only get involved when genuinely new functionality is needed.
