fabAI flagged batch L-2481: three days from best-before – FEFO suggestion created.

  • IoT silo connection
  • Route optimisation
  • Automated invoicing
The starting point

Three problems with a direct cost effect

Every empty run, every stock shortfall and every late invoice is immediately measurable in figures.

Route planning runs by hand

Pellet, wood and energy deliveries are planned in Excel or on paper. Vehicle capacities, delivery windows and tank sizes cannot be factored in properly that way – empty runs and delays follow.

Optimised routes with a driver app and live tracking, with fewer empty runs.

Bulk goods without a real-time overview

Silos, depots and external stores are monitored manually. Fill levels, batches and discrepancies are not visible in real time. Shortfalls put security of supply at risk.

Real-time fill levels, batch tracing and automatic reorder alerts.

Invoicing costs time and patience

Invoices are created by hand from delivery notes, incoming payments are matched manually, reminders are coordinated by email. At high delivery volumes this produces errors and open items.

Invoicing straight from the delivery note, with SEPA, dunning and reconciliation.

The core areas

What an energy ERP has to deliver

Bulk goods management, optimised routes, production control with quality parameters and automated invoicing belong in one platform – otherwise security of supply comes down to experience and guesswork. A one-off capacity dashboard for the next heating season gets described to fabAI rather than commissioned – the audit-ready batch and quality data underneath it stays the same.

In detail

How fabular maps the energy industry

From raw material intake through production and warehousing to delivery and invoicing – in one flow.

Route planning & delivery logistics

  1. 1.Routes optimised by capacity, time window and regional cluster.
  2. 2.Driver app with route transmission in real time.
  3. 3.Live tracking and a dashboard for scheduling.
  4. 4.Empty runs reduced, fuel consumption lowered.

Tank sizes and delivery quantities feed into the planning, not just into the execution.

Warehouse & bulk goods management

  1. 1.Real-time fill levels across every storage location.
  2. 2.IoT connection to the silos for automatic alerts.
  3. 3.Batch tracing through intake, storage and dispatch.
  4. 4.Discrepancy checks between book stock and measured stock.

Bagged and bulk goods in one stock record, without a parallel list.

Production & quality

  1. 1.Batches and material consumption documented.
  2. 2.Quality parameters recorded and assessed per batch.
  3. 3.Cleaning cycles kept with evidence.
  4. 4.Certificates and inspection reports filed against the record.

Invoicing & contracts

  1. 1.Invoices are created straight from the delivery note.
  2. 2.Contracts with multi-level condition calculation.
  3. 3.SEPA payment run and dunning in the system.
  4. 4.Incoming payments assigned automatically.

Seasonal price scales and purchase volumes are part of the contract.

Common questions

ERP for energy suppliers and traders

How does the IoT silo connection work?

Fill level sensors report their readings to fabular, where they are held against the book stock. If a silo falls below the defined threshold, a reorder alert is created automatically. The side effect is the discrepancy check: if the measured value and the book stock diverge persistently, that points to a recording error or shrinkage.

Does route planning take tank sizes into account?

Yes, and in this industry that is decisive. Delivery quantity and vehicle capacity determine which deliveries can be bundled into a route. The planning considers both together with time windows and regional clusters, rather than merely sorting addresses.

Can we map seasonal prices?

Yes, through contracts with multi-level condition calculation. Price scales by purchase volume, period or customer group are stored as rules and applied automatically on the delivery note. The invoice follows from that, with nobody having to look up a price.

What about evidence for certifications?

Batches, quality parameters and inspection reports hang on the record, not in a separate folder. For certifications such as ENplus or sustainability evidence, the documents can therefore be retrieved directly instead of gathered together.

Let us work through a route together

Take a typical delivery day. We use it to show which journeys can be bundled and where empty kilometres arise today.
